The International Conference "Ukrainian IPO-meetings" was successfully held in Kyiv on March 26, 2008.
The most important issue for many Ukrainian companies, as the conference demonstrated, is the preparation of their businesses for entering the capital markets: business structuring, standardization of financial reporting, information disclosure. The representatives of State Stock Market and Securities Commission (SSMSC) and Stock Market Infrastructure Development Agency (SMIDA) pointed out that the increasing of Ukrainian issuers’ transparency is one of their priority objectives, and suggested possible solutions, including measures in the legislative sphere.

- largest stock exchanges: Deutsche Börse (Germany), Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing (Hong Kong), Singapore Exchange (Singapore), SWX Swiss Exchange (Switzerland)
- Deutsche Bank, one of the largest European banks
- representatives of law firms: Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Magister & Partners, Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz; and audit firms: Alt, Baker Tilly Ukraine, BDO Balance Audit, Deloitte & Touche, DK-Ukraine
- representatives of more than 50 companies – potential issuers.
Overall, 170 participants from over 100 companies attended the conference. The event was covered by more than 25 mass media representatives.
